Artwork

What paper do you print on?

All prints from our collections are produced on 310gsm smooth cotton rag, a museum-grade fine art paper made from 100% cotton. Its ultra-smooth matte surface brings out rich colours, crisp detail and subtle tonal nuances, capturing the full depth of the original photograph.

Each piece is printed in Australia using archival-grade pigment inks, ensuring colours remain true and vibrant for years to come.

Do you offer framing?

Yes. We offer complimentary framing with each framed artwork purchase. Our frames are handcrafted in Australia from 100% Tasmanian oak and arrive ready to hang.

Due to size, cost and shipping constraints, framed prints are currently available within Australia only. International customers can still request a custom shipping quote by contacting us directly at hello@quietplaces.co.

Do you offer custom sizes?

Yes. Custom sizes and crops are available for all prints in The Core Collection. Please email us at hello@quietplaces.co with your preferred dimensions and the artwork you’re interested in, and we’ll provide a tailored quote and preview.

How do I care for my artwork?

Handle your fine art print with care and avoid touching the printed surface. To preserve its quality, keep it stored flat or framed behind glass, away from direct sunlight.

Shipping & Delivery

How much does shipping cost?

We offer free shipping for all prints and framed artworks within Australia, and free worldwide shipping for unframed prints.

We can offer a quote for international shipping of framed artworks on request. Please email us at hello@quietplaces.co.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Framed artworks are available within Australia, and unframed prints can be shipped anywhere in the world.

When will I get my order?

Each piece is carefully made to order, crafted to reflect the full depth and detail of the original artwork.

  • Unframed prints: production time up to 7 days
  • Framed artworks: production time up to 3 weeks

Once your order has shipped:

  • Within Australia: 3–5 business days for metro areas, and 7–10 days for WA, NT, TAS, and rural regions (via Australia Post)
  • International: allow up to 2 weeks for delivery

Please note that shipping times may vary slightly during busy periods and depending on location.

Will I need to pay customs or import duties?

For orders shipped outside Australia, local duties or import taxes may apply. These charges are not included in our prices or shipping fees and are the responsibility of the person receiving the parcel.

Since customs regulations differ by country, we recommend checking with your local customs office if you’re unsure what may apply.

How are prints and frames packaged?

Every order is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.

Unframed prints are delicately rolled in archival glassine and encased in sturdy tubes to ensure safe transit.

Framed prints are carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in custom sturdy double-corrugated cardboard boxes to ensure they arrive safely.

All artworks are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Orders & Returns 

How do I check the status of my order?

You’ll receive an email once your order is on its way, including a tracking number so you can follow its journey. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking updates to appear.

Can I change or cancel my order?

We’re happy to help make changes or cancellations as long as your order hasn’t yet entered production. Please contact us as soon as possible at hello@quietplaces.co.

Once an order has been processed by our print studio (typically within 24 hours), it can no longer be changed or cancelled.

Do you accept returns?

Each artwork is made to order, carefully crafted just for you. Because of this, we’re unable to accept returns or exchanges.

My order arrived damaged, what should I do?

We take great care in packaging every piece, but if your order arrives damaged, we’ll replace it for you at no cost.

Please email us at hello@quietplaces.co with:

  • Photos of the damaged artwork
  • Photos of the packaging (including the box or tube, even if it appears undamaged)

This documentation allows us to process a replacement quickly, in line with courier guidelines.

What happens if I don’t collect my package?

If a parcel is not collected or is returned due to unpaid customs or import fees, it will be sent back to us. The customer is responsible for any shipping costs required to have the order resent.

My order seems to be lost, what should I do? 

If your order shows as delivered but hasn’t arrived, or if it’s been more than 14 days since your shipping confirmation, please contact us at hello@quietplaces.co.

We’ll contact the courier directly to help locate your parcel, though contacting the courier directly (using the tracking details provided via email) will usually provide the quickest resolution.
